It’s been a crazy few months for me and my family. If you’ve been with me since Christmas, you know the story of my daughter Kaylen. You also know that I *thought* she was diagnosed and all would be well. It didn’t turn out that way.
It turns out that she doesn’t have spherocytosis. In 4 months, they *still* don’t know what it is! She’s had to have another transfusion since the first one and we’ve been going to the hematologist every 2 weeks to check her counts. All of her counts look great (including iron levels) except for her red blood cells. She obviously has anemia, but they still don’t know what’s causing it. We go back to the hematologist tomorrow and we’re very much hoping her counts are increasing.
Anyhow, needless to say I haven’t been online much. Due to that fact, you haven’t heard from me much and I apologize for that. I am trying my best to get back into the swing of things so expect to hear more from me starting today.
