You Must Start Selling To The Biggest Captive Sales Audience

You can and you will make money by having your own web site and selling products from it. But there is an opportunity to make even more money and you cannot afford to ignore it! And the cost of displaying your product in this huge money making arena?
In most cases for less than a dollar a time, plus a percentage of the winning auction bid, gives you the opportunity to show your product to a huge sales audience who have only one purpose in mind. They want to buy!
Let me give you some idea of the potential we are talking about here.
Ebay users transacted $3.11 billion in gross merchandise sales (GMS) during the first quarter of 2002. Auction listings reached 138 million, representing a 55% increase from the 89 million reported in the same quarter last year.
In fact:
· Ebay gets over 65 million hits every 24 hours!
· There are over 12 million registered users on ebay!
· Ebay generates over $100 per second every day in completed auction sales!
And yes, ebay is the largest of the Online Auction sites. But there are many more on the world wide web that you can sell at and make money from. This really is a phenomenal market place where many, many people are making mega money. And yet it is a sales area that is often ignored!
If you want to find out exactly how to buy, sell and make money at Online Auctions then I strongly recommend that you take a look at my web site The Auction Academy but for now I want to make sure that you are aware that selling from a web site is not the only Internet money making option available to you.
So what can you sell at Online Auctions? Well just about anything and everything. There are a few exceptions but generally speaking the vast majority of products that you can sell from a web site can also be sold at Online Auctions.
Here's an example of how it can be literally and actually money for old rope. A recent ebay auction for "OLD ROPE BLOCK& TACKEL - 35 ' OF ROPE" attracted a high number of bidders and sold easily for a price that I am sure delighted the seller!
Now there is a popular misconception that if you sell at ebay or any of the other Online Auctions you have to sell cheap! This is wrong. If this is your view then you will have to change your mindset! What potential buyers at Online Auctions want is value for money. There is a difference!
The huge army of buyers who surf the Online Auction highways and byways are on the lookout for bargains. So offer them what they are looking for and they will buy from you!
What do I mean? Well one good example is using the following method. One of the most common (and well received) techniques of improving the selling power of a product from a web site is to add bonuses to the main product to offer more value for money. Adopt this technique at Online Auctions and you will sell! Add a few more bonuses and you will sell in abundance! This works particularly well with non physical products, for example, electronic books and software, as it is fairly easy to add bonuses, but the technique can be adopted for a variety of other products as well.
There are other methods available to you to boost your Online Auction sales. Featured Auctions will give your item a high visibility to potential buyers. Dutch Auctions will allow you to sell large quantities of the same product at one auction. And if you really want to rocket your sales then a Featured Dutch Auction will often send your sales soaring to new levels! You will have to pay more to offer your products at an Online Auction in this way but increased sales should compensate for this.
As with every form of business, Online Auctions follow the same success path. The more you become known, the more people are willing to buy from you. The more satisfied customers you have, the more your reputation increases and the more you sell.
Ebay, and many of the other Online Auctions, adopt the Feedback approach. Buyers and Sellers are encouraged to give their views on every transaction they carry out. In other words, to give feedback on whether the person they bought from or sold to gave good service. Positive feedback is the Online Auction equivalent of a testimonial from a satisfied customer. Anyone considering buying from one of your Online Auctions will be able to see, at the click of a button, what your previous customers thought of you.
It is of vital importance that you continue to surprise and delight your customers whatever your selling medium and Online Auctions are no exception. The fact that your previous customers views can be readily seen means that you must make giving good, and where possible, exceptional customer service a high priority. The major plus point of this visibility of previous customers views is that good feedback will improve your sales.
Anyone and everyone can make money selling at Online Auctions. A part time business or a full time career are readily available and you do not have to spend a fortune to get started.
You cannot, you must not, and you dare not ignore selling to the largest captive sales audience on the Internet. Remember the millions of visitors Online Auctions attract every day already have the primary visit purpose of wanting to buy. If you are selling a product from a web site, make that your bread and butter business but also sell at Online Auctions to put the icing on your Internet moneymaking cake.

Lead Generating Machines
Customers don’t grow on trees you know. You have to go to them or make them come to you. Of course, it’s always easier if you can get the customers to come straight to you.
Here are a few ways to turn on a lead generating machine and bring the customers your way:
Referrals - Give your current customers a reason to send you referrals. Offer them a reward for each referral they bring to your business, such as discounts or free gifts.

I recently decided to test a pay-per-subscribers service online. The service in question promised to deliver 1,000 new ezine subscribers for a brilliant $0.10 cents each.
They actually delivered 200 at a real cost of about $0.80 cents each!
I know something these people don’t.
I know the secret to long-term online success.
It’s not selling the same old re-hashed reports.

I'm writing this on Friday afternoon after watching a very interesting episode of "Dr. Phil." Now, since the war "Iraqi Freedom" started -- I told myself to stay mum about such a controversial issue, voice my prayers and concern ... but stay quiet. You know what? I feel staying quiet is just not my style, so why ignore it or put my head in the sand? I can't ... this episode and listening to a couple of strange and misinformed anti-war protesters made me mad enough to say something.
OK, I know I'll possibly lose some subscribers who are anti-war but I can live with that. I talk to my friends and voice my opinions to them ... why not you? I pride myself on being up close and personal with my subscribers and I'm not going to change that or straddle the fence on such a big subject.
This has nothing to do with business, so skip this section if you don't want to hear it, but I have to rant ... :P
First off, I am 100% behind our troops and 100% behind Bush and his team. I'm not talking politics or whether I'm Republican or Democrat -- this is about the situation that is going on right now and something I truly believe HAD to happen.
I grew up as a military brat. My dad is a Vietnam war veteran ... not by choice, mind you. He was drafted at the young age of 18. He still to this day does not talk about the personal parts of the war or if he had to kill anyone ... I've heard rumors and talk from my Aunt of him having to shoot a little girl with a bomb strapped on her chest. If this is true, a man who swerves to miss a squirrel crossing the road and a man who never personally owned a gun, had to do something he would've NEVER done under normal circumstances. He went through the nightmares and was an alcoholic for years afterwards. But you know what? He stayed in the Army for 20 years and retired with honors ... he's been an ROTC teacher at the local high school for 15 years and plans on retiring as such. He's proud of the military, proud of the Army, proud of our country and of all the rights we have fought so long to have. And he didn't even join the military by his own choice!
Now why do people feel they are in support of our troops and pro-life by laying in the streets and causing blocks and miles of traffic to prove a point? As Dr. Phil put it, they compromised life by blocking at least 2 ambulances that he saw and making 75 of the police force (in our time of high security) leave their posts to defuse such a stupid demonstration.
Yes, they have the right to voice their opinion ... our country has allowed us that right. That is the reason we are there! To allow THEM the rights that we seem to take for granted. Are we killing innocent people? Yes, that happens in war -- but the regime themselves has killed many times more of their own people and in my opinion, will continue to do so unless their regime is destroyed.
No, I don't believe it was going to happen peacefully. I don't care what arguments anyone has to support that. How many chances did we give them?! Way too many in my opinion ... we should have stopped them when we had them the first time.
Let me put it in this perspective ... if you had a child who was being beaten up and bullied, might possibly be killed -- and there was someone there watching it happen ... someone big enough and fully able to protect your child -- how would you feel if they turned their head and ignored it? Would you be upset with them? Would America be upset with them if it was known the death or injury of your child could have easily been prevented if only this person acted upon it? Do you even think a peaceful "Please leave the child alone. Let's talk ..." would work? No! Give me a break ... they will never stop.
This war HAD to happen and I'm proud of our soldiers and how they are handling the situation with such precision. All of these soldiers are proud to be there and I bet there's not ONE of them that would say they are being forced to do something that they don't want to do. Yes, they miss their family ... yes, they're scared -- but they want to be there! Heck -- there are soldiers still here itching to be deployed and do what they were trained to do for so long ... to defend our rights, defend our freedom, defend our beloved country and the rights that God gave to each and everyone of us.

I am totally against their displaced and irresponsible actions. I totally endorse George Bush's actions and I salute all the Americans and their troops for willing to defend their liberty against the terrorist attitude of the dictator Sadaam Hussein and his attitude towards the Iraqi people.
