Welcome to all our new subscribers this week and I hope you grow
to love us as so many have ... we couldn't do this without you!

With all the exciting new changes and enhancements to the ProBizTips newsletter, I've been getting a few emails from some confused subscribers that are a little unsure about how things are going to be working from now on.

To make sure you're completely clear on everything, I wanted to give you a chance to read some of the frequently asked questions and my responses to them...just in case you've been wondering about some of the same things.

And, if you're questions or concerns aren't answered below, please feel free to email me personally and I'll get back to you right away. And you won't be able to do that if you're unsure about what's going on ;) so *please* let me know if you're not 100% clear.

Here are some of the more frequently asked questions I've responded to over the last few days...

Do I have to start paying a fee to keep getting ProBizTips?

No! You don't have to do anything to stay subscribed to ProBizTips, it's still free and I don't ever plan on changing that. You can, however, sign-up for the ProBizTips "Premium Members" program where you'll get a lot more one-on-one help and bonus benefits to help you start making more money than ever from your online business, and this does require a small investment.

I kind of wonder how good the new ProBizTips is going to be... are you going to start giving all your attention to the paid "Premium Member" subscribers and forget about the rest of us?

Absolutely not! Free subscribers are still a top priority to me, and I plan on delivering even better content and marketing info to help you sky-rocket your profits. The Undeniable Value Of Differentiation

With all the people offering products and services online, what sets yours apart from the crowd?

You can't argue this, to succeed you need to differentiate yourself.

Online businesses come and go every day and about 90% fail.

The reasons online businesses fail vary from situation to situation, here's a few:

*It could be that the business owner didn't educate themselves properly

*It could be that the netreprenuer didn't market correctly

*It could be that the webmaster didn't develop a product people were actually willing to pay for

*It could be that the newbie didn't spend enough time creating and leveraging the right types of relationships

*It could be that the inexperienced Internet marketer didn't remember to be thorough and calculated with their product offering, sales copy, packaging, traffic plan, etc.

All of the above reasons are valid and one of the most common reasons the product offering itself fails, is because the nichemarket that the business owner is marketing in is semi-saturated and the marketer had no "differentiator".

A differentiator is anything that makes your unique selling proposition differ from any other by the benefits it delivers to the user. Those benefits need to be itemized in the sales copy to make sure the prospect will understand what makes the offering specific to his/her needs.

A differentiator could simply be a different angle or viewpoint on some problem or product not currently realized by anyone else.

How many ebooks have been written about Internet marketing? Hundreds if not thousands...the ones that make money have easily identifiable differentiators.

A differentiator could be an added bonus to your product offering that the prospect can't get anywhere else.

**Simple example:
Suppose there are 2 products that a prospect is considering purchasing.

*Product offering #1 offers a bonus that can be easily found on the Internet.

*Product offering #2 offers a bonus that is exclusive to this offering itself that cannot be obtained anywhere else other than through this specific offering.

If both products are equal in benefits to the user and have the same price, which product offering will the prospect choose?

Of course, the prospect will choose Product #2 because of the "exclusivity" of the bonus. That exclusivity is a differentiator.

A differentiator could be a discount on a service that no one else in your niche offers. A differentiator could simply be a promise to respond to customer inquiries within 24 hours.

The trait that defines a truly effective differentiator is uniqueness.

A differentiator could even be something as simple as the packaging of the sales process of a product or service itself. The packaging of a product includes graphics, format of delivery, appearance of web presence, etc.

With regards to graphics, it is important to understand that people respond positively to visually pleasing graphics regardless of whether the end product of offering is actually affected by those graphics. Due to the average person's reluctance to buy online, the better things look, the better the prospect feels about moving forward with a purchase.

In the online world, the prospect decides to purchase a product or service that is being marketed to them "virtually"... it is intangible to them until they buy. In this instance, a differentiator could be something as simple as slick graphic or choice of product format-pdf, exe, audio, RAM, MP3, etc.

Before you can actually identify a truly effective differentiator for the product offering, a good amount of competitive intelligence needs to be done within the appropriate vertical niche market.

Begin by reviewing all products and services that could be perceived as competitors in that niche market and define the differentiator from there.

Whatever type of differentiator is chosen, it's vital to make certain the prospect clearly can understand the value of it by itemizing the benefits it brings to them.

This is often overlooked and equates to unrealized sales.

Be humble, work smart, keep it simple.

More Places To Get Your Articles Seen

If you own a web site, you probably have written an article or two for it. One of the best free promotion strategies is to send your articles to publications looking for articles.

Of course, we all know about ezines that use articles, but that's just the tip of the iceberg. Many other publications need a steady supply of articles, too. Most of these options are right in front of you.

Send your articles to your local newspaper. Many have sections for reader-written articles. Others can easily convert your article with good advice into a feature story. Magazines of all sizes look for articles from freelance writers. In many cases you will need to contact the editor first and suggest our article topic.

Pennysavers and shoppers -- those free or cheap newspapers that carry all ads such as Thrifty Nickle or The Recycler -- are an easy way to get your articles in front of the public. Many of these papers like short articles to break up the endless array of classified ads.

Trade publications read by those in your own profession can be very effective. News about your profession is considered important in these, whereas in a larger publication, it might be thought of as insignificant.

Guarantee 20% More Sales for Your Product or Service in 5 Minutes

It is a well known fact that the more personalized your offering is, the more you increase the chances of the desired outcome, whether it be a sale of a product or a signup to your opportunity.

If you have your own website hosted on a server that can run PHP scripts (most hosts have PHP installed as standard), this easy little trick will increase whatever the desired action of your website is by up to 20%!

If you're scratching your head, don't worry PHP isn't as nasty as it sounds. It's just another language servers use to make your web pages more interactive and dynamic.

You won't have to install any scripts or anything like that for this trick to work. All you need is Notepad and your FTP Client. Just follow these instructions to the letter and you will be fine.

1. Bring up your home page in your browser

2. Click on the "View" menu at the top left hand corner of your browser window.

3. Click on "View Source". At this point, Notepad should have opened up with the HTML File of your homepage already inserted.

4. Modify the source code in your opened up Notepad with the following tag wherever you want your prospects name to appear:

<?php echo "$f"; ?>

For example:
Dear Friend, now becomes Dear <?php echo "$f"; ?>,

5. Save that file to a PHP extension.
Example: index.html would be saved as index.php.

6. Log into your hosting account via FTP with your FTP client.

I use Cute FTP for all of my uploading and find it's one of the most user friendly FTP Clients available. However you should have no problem following these instructions as most FTP Clients allow you to rename files.

If you don't have an FTP Client, click the URL below to download a free version of Cute FTP then come back and finish the rest of this tutorial:

7. Go to the directory where your homepage is stored.

This should be /public_html/

8. Create another directory called php

9. Upload "index.php" to the php directory.

Now comes the good part.

10. Insert your details into the URL below into an open browser and press enter:

http://yoursite.com/php/index.php?f=yourname

You will notice that everywhere you personalized your website with the <?php echo "$f"; ?> tag has been replaced by your name.

You can use this URL with advertising to your Autoresponder or Newsletter list. Instead of typing in your name you can use the merge feature to merge each prospects name into your mailing!

For example my mail merge first name tag is !FIRST_NAME! so the URL I'd use would be:

http://internetmarketingarsenal.com/php/index.php?f=!FIRST_NAME!

This will then insert each recipients name into the URL and send them to the appropriate page of my site with their name already in place of the tags I used to modify my webpage!

Now can you understand how powerful this is?!

Next time you send an email to your list/newsletter selling your product or service, try this little known trick. I know you will be pleasantly surprised by the results!

How to Increase Link Popularity and Improve Search Engine Ranking

If you want to improve search engine ranking of your web site, you need to find a large number of high quality links from other web sites. These are called inbound links. Gaining links from high ranking sites that point to yours will increase your link popularity in the search engines.

The most popular search engine Google, places great significance on the link popularity of your web site. In fact, you can even get listed in Google without submitting your site to them, by getting other sites to link to yours. Finding many high ranking sites that link to yours, will improve the search engine ranking of your own web site.

Four effective ways to increase link popularity

1. Get your site listed in the search engine directories - first submit your site to the human edited directories of ODP (Open Directory Project - dmoz.org) and Yahoo (yahoo.com). Getting listed in these directories will give your site a boost in link popularity and improve search engine ranking in other search engines.

However, this may take some time.

You can get listed much faster by getting links from niche specific directories. Find these directories by doing a search on the major search engines with the primary keywords of your web site.

2. Provide high quality content - people will naturally link to your site if you have what they want (i.e. articles, software,etc). This will save you a lot of time searching for quality links yourself.

Optimizing your content with well placed keywords, will improve your search engine ranking dramatically. Search engines love focused content.

Don't you love it when you immediately find what you are searching for?

One way of achieving this is by writing and publishing articles. You can include a link at the end of your article. When your article gets published, you will automatically have gained a link to your site.

3. Requesting links from other sites - request links from sites that ideally have a high search engine ranking. Start by including a link from your site to theirs. Include a paragraph describing what your link is about. This helps achieve a greater number of clickthroughs to your site.

Request that they do the same when linking to your web site. If you provide this for them (with some of your primary keywords included of course), and provide quality information, you will have a greater chance of gaining a high quality link.

4. Write a testimonial - write a favorable review of someone's product or web site. Include the benefits you received through visiting their site. If that person wishes to use your testimony on their site, make sure they include a link back to your website.

These are some of the best strategies you should implement to increase link popularity of your web site. It will improve search engine ranking and also boost your web site traffic.
