A Word From Diane

Hey!

Good Day to you and I hope your day is going well so far! :)
Welcome to all our new subscribers this week and I hope you grow
to love us as so many have ... we couldn't do this without you!

I'm working hard at getting a project done, so don't worry ... if you emailed me, I'll be getting back to you soon. :)

If you happened to miss my email earlier in the week announcing the Pre-Launch of a GREAT new "CAN'T MISS" resource -- here's a recap ...

I know you're serious about making a living from the Internet - so I have to believe you'd like an invitation to join the private and exclusive group of top-level Internet marketers that are already using this system. The quality of this group is what makes it so special, so members are only allowed in by invitation from another member. I thought you would be a perfect match.

This group is amazing!

Imagine working directly with Jim Daniels, Yanik Silver, David Garfinkel, Marty Foley, Neil Shearing, Phil Whiley, Willie Crawford, James Maduk, Peter Twist, Charlie Page, *ME* :o), J.F. (Jim) Straw, Chuck McCullough, Jack Humphrey, Joe Kumar, Jun Han, Jason Mangrum, Holly Cotter, Lee Benson, Paul Meyers, or Theresa Cahill on YOUR projects!

Check this out! It's not for everyone, so check it out and decide if it's for you ...

Rather than go into a long explanation (and it would be long) of what this new system does, I want you to see it for yourself.

I was one of the personally invited beta members, so I've been a member and I've been testing the system for awhile now. I absolutely LOVE IT -- it's GENIUS!

I was able to set up a couple of new joint ventures almost immediately after joining, and they were absolutely the easiest I've ever done. No keyword searches to find potential JV partners, no agonizing over a personalized offer to my selected candidates, well you can tell I'm excited and there are plenty of testimonials on the site so you don't need to hear me going on about it anymore.

OH, one last thing -- there's a special introductory price available during Pre-Launch, and if you take advantage of this, you will have that price locked in. It's only going to go up, and I don't want you to miss out, so visit this URL today and look closely at this while it is still early.

In the meantime ... sit back, relax and enjoy today's issue!

Your Friend,

Diane Hughes

The Wrong Email Format Can Destroy Your Offer
by Rich Hamilton, Jr

Which email format is more effective to use, Text or HTML?

A good question, many experts have been debating over for awhile now, is which email format is more effective. It all depends on who you ask, many people prefer the text format over the HTML format. There are also many people who would rather use HTML over the text format. You can pretty much draw a line right down the middle between the text users and the HTML users, it's that close.

The truth of the matter is that the most effective format to use for your email really depends on the offer you're presenting.

Both text and HTML email formats have their advantages and disadvantages. In this article I am going to go over the advantages and disadvantages of text and HTML email formats. Let's jump right in and start with the format text.

Text

Obviously the real advantage to using a text format is that you have a white background with black font making it very easy to read. The text format loads fast, no matter what size the email is.

If the email loads fast and is easy to read how can text formats have a disadvantage?

Easy!

The real disadvantage of using text format is when you are using email as a source of marketing. To effectively use email marketing you need to use some sort of tracking software. Without tracking you will never know if the subject line and/or email offer needs work.

The point I am trying to make is that people are very cautiousabout clicking on tracking and affiliate links. As soon as they see a lengthy url, they get the impression that you are trying to sell them something and immediately delete the email. With a text formatted email you cannot hide long tracking urls from the recipient. With an HTML format you won't run into this problem, which brings us to...

HTML

The biggest advantage of using HTML is that you can hide your tracking urls from the viewer. Instead of having a long url in your email offer, you can use a simple "click here". Not only can you hide your tracking url, but you can also mask it from appearing in the browser window.

Moreover, HTML has a lot of disadvantages. For instance, some people can't view HTML email, while others can view it with a limited amount of space. HTML email files can be sizable and take up a lot of space. Most people who use HTML formatted email use a lot of images and other graphics to make their email have a professional appearence. But they don't stop and think about the size of the email that they are sending, and whether or not their recipients may have limited space.

Sending large email files is a sure way to get your recipients upset. You don't want to strike out before you have the chance to swing!

You can see that both email formats have their advantages, as well as their disadvantages. As for which format is the right one for you, it all depends on your offer.

If you are sending an email offer that doesn't require any lengthy tracking urls or has no affiliate urls, then text should be your format of choice.

Moreover, if you do have tracking or affiliate urls in your email offer, then HTML is the way to go. When using an HTML format be conservative, not everyone has broadband, you'll find that a lot of people are still using 28.8k modems for their Internet connection.

When sending out an HTML email offer it should have a solid white background with black text, and absolutely no images or graphics. This way the email offer appears to be text and loads fast, when it's actually HTML. Your viewer won't be able to see your long tracking or affiliate url which will increase your click through ratio and that means more sales.

Most autoresponders and email softwares have the ability to send email in both formats, but not all of them. There are still some that don't.

How to Avoid Becoming a Dot Bomb

Oh, the dot-com boom. Those were the good ol' days. But people are doing all they can to forget how the dot-com boom became the dot-com bomb. But as we continue to discover, when we don't learn from the past, history is doomed to repeat itself.

If you want to keep your online business from becoming a dotbomb, remember these abundant mistakes that were made during the dot-com craze and avoid them:

*Your site should have intuitive navigation and usable site architecture, as well as an appealing look and feel. Your best bet is to go with an experienced design company or freelancer to design your site. The downfall of many dot-coms has been their shoddy web design and architecture.

*Keep file sizes small for fast downloads. No one wants to wait around for each of your pages to load, so remove any extraneous HTML and graphics. When people stopped waiting for downloads in the dot-com craze, it went KABOOM!

*Choose a reliable server with 24-hour support to manage traffic surges. If your site is down every time visitors try to go to it, they will stop trying.

*Continuously search for ways to improve your website and make it more usable for visitors. Do research to find out what frustrates your visitors. Offer them a free report or a 10% discount to fill out your survey, or hold brainstorming sessions with your most valuable customers.

*You survival depends on efficient, reliable service and delivery. Reply to every email within hours. Keep promises you make to customers, and ensure that every delivery makes it in the allotted amount of time.

How to make sales without your own email list!
by Chuck McCullough

One of the most difficult parts of running a business online is actually getting started.

I mean, think about it for a minute: You'd like to see if you can make some sales first, then use that knowledge and money to continue the process, right?

But, how in the world do you manage this if you don't already have an email list or lots of traffic?!

One of the things that bugs me to this day is that the supposed 'gurus' brag to you about how they sent out one email and made thousands of dollars by the next day.

It bugs me because they fail to tell you it took them *years* to build the list that they sent the email to!

They give you the feeling that all you need to do is send out that email.

Sorry, but it doesn't work that way.

BUT, I do have some good news for you: I've got a great way for you to start making sales without your own list!

In fact, you'll be able to start building your OWN list with this process!

What you need to do is get other people to send your ad to THEIR list.

You get to take advantage of all the hard work they put into building and nourishing their list for much less trouble than they went through.

And, if you do it right, you'll start building your own list at the same time.

How do you do this seemingly painless task?

Well, there are several ways to go about it:

1. Submit articles to newsletter publishers asking them to publish it in their ezines.

2. Set up joint ventures where you share the profits with the list owner.

3. Purchase advertising in targeted newsletters.

The third one is the easiest method to get up and running quickly, but it will cost you some money up front.

But, if you choose the right newsletters and setup the right ad, you can get your money back fairly easily, PLUS gain subscribers for your own list in the process.

Even if you don't have your own product, but are planning to use affiliate programs to get you started, you can gain subscribers for your own list so you can make additional offers to them over and over in the future.

There's not enough room to go into detail on this here, so if you'd like more on this idea, including other ways to make money online without your own products, and without already having a huge email list, visit my website:

ProBizTips Tip of the Week

3 Quick Ways To Multiply Your Sales!
by Larry Dotson

1) Sell To Existing Customers

Offer your customers back-end products. It is easier to sell to existing customers. If you do not have a back-end product, join an affiliate program. You could offer that product as a back-end offer. Just make sure it's the right product for your target audience.

2) Increase Your Product's Value

Increase the perceived value of your product. You could offer an affiliate program, give away free bonuses or use famous endorsements on your ad. Another way is to offer a sample or trial of your product or service. If people like it or it works, that will increase the perceived value because it gives them 100% personal proof.

3) Create A Win/Win Situation

Remind your visitors to promote your web site. Use phrases like:"Refer Our Web Site To A Friend" or "Link To Our Web Site". Offer them incentives for referrals. You could give them free e-books, reports, software and other informational products. You could also offer them discounts on other products you sell.

Leaving With a Laugh

A group of Americans was touring Ireland. One of the women in the group was a real curmudgeon, constantly complaining. The bus seats are uncomfortable. The food is terrible. It's too hot. It's too cold. The accommodations are awful.

The group arrived at the site of the famous Blarney Stone. "Good luck will be followin' ya all your days if you kiss the Blarney Stone," the guide said. "Unfortunately, it's being cleaned today and so no one will be able to kiss it. Perhaps we can come back tomorrow."

"We can't be here tomorrow," the nasty woman shouted. "We have some other boring tour to go on. So I guess we can't kiss the stupid stone."

"Well now," the guide said, "it is said that if you kiss someone who has kissed the stone, you'll have the same good fortune."

"And I suppose you've kissed the stone?" the woman scoffed.

"No, ma'am," the frustrated guide said, "but I've sat on it."
