Welcome to all our new subscribers this week and I hope you grow
to love us as so many have ... we couldn't do this without you!
I've been reading through my emails that many of you sent when I was going through the filter problems last month and asking you to confirm your subscription, etc. A lot of you sent some really nice comments and encouraged me to keep publishing and keep fighting. I can't thank you guys enough and you're the greatest!
Below is one that really made me feel good and I just had to share to show you how great you guys are! :)
By the way, Diane, I DO enjoy reading your newsletters every time I receive them. When I first acquired an interest in marketing, ezines, ebooks, public domain info, etc. so that I can begin a business on the net...I subscribed to tons of various ezines and newsletters. Well, after a year or so, I've narrowed it down to just a few that I enjoy reading and actually 'learn' from and PROBIZTIPS is on the top of my list.
Actually I owe you an apology because I haven't (until now) expressed to you how much I actually enjoy reading and learning from your newsletters. I've also checked your Forum and although I haven't been verbal, I've read just about everything that caught my eye. I'm still quite a newbie when it comes to this stuff, but I'm gaining a fast education. When you sent out a letter with the possibility of selling or discontinuing this newsletter, my heart sank....and I thought gee, you would really be missed.
I can hear the frustration re: cost, maintenance, big subscriber lists, etc. and I sympathize with you because you probably don't even realize how many of us "quiet" ones are lurking and absorbing and really appreciate the quality of information that's provided for us.
All I gotta say is...thank you....thank you for sparking the interest further for me to pursue various avenues within the complexities of the internet and what it offers.

Were You Bamboozled by Google?

It’s still happening. "Florida," "Boston," "Ginger," and "Brandy" are just a few of the many Google updates that have hit within the last few months. And Google is still issuing periodic updates as we speak. No one can say for sure what’s going on or what to expect. One thing is for sure... unless you want to get bamboozled by Google (again!), you’d be wise to take action to prevent it now.
So many people were screaming (and still are) about losing tons of business due to Google’s updates. Some have reported 30%, 50%, or even total losses. What can you do? After all, you’re at the mercy of Google, right? WRONG!
Why Do Rankings Keep Changing?
Google, like many other engines, changes its algorithm (formula for calculating who ranks where) from time-to-time in an effort to filter out spammers and deliver the most relevant search results possible.
Google has had updates since its very beginning. But now, depending on which theory you choose to believe, they are making more advancements that require more updates. This means, even if you rank at #1 this week, you might not make the top 30 next week.
How Do You Protect Yourself From Updates?
Diversify! It is never a good idea to have all your income generated by one source. You wouldn’t depend on having all of your retirement savings from one source (that’s exactly why mutual funds are so popular), and you wouldn’t have all of your money in one bank. I mean, really! What if that one source went under? The same principle applies to Internet marketing.
While search engines are a phenomenal way to drive traffic to your website, they are most certainly not the only way. In order to ensure you are protected should Google (or whoever is the next "big" search engine) change their formula yet again, you need to create a diversification plan.
Think of all the outlets that reach your target audience. Investigate each one to see how feasible it would be to market your site through those channels. Then implement a plan that includes several advertising avenues (including search engines) that - as a whole - generates as much (or more) business as you originally received from Google. That way, should one of these channels go down, your business would only be slightly affected.
Don’t stop there! Twice a year you’ll want to go over your plan and be sure that everything is working, as it should. If one outlet begins to dwindle in its response, look into finding a replacement. This way you are never taken by surprise.
Once you have your diversification plan working for you, you will be in a much better position to be rest assured that the business you receive will be there for the long haul. You will also feel more comfortable that no one organization can cause the tremendous damage Google has caused and could cause again.

How to get my products/services endorsed even marketed by well-known top internet marketers which have 'credibility' such as Joe Vitale, Jerome Chapman, Corey Rudl, etc? It seems very difficult to reach them....can you help?

This is definitely something that is not easy. These marketers look for top quality products and services to promote. They're not looking for the "next big thing" and they're not necessarily looking for the highest paying offer. When they recommend or promote something, they are putting their names and reputations on the line.
The hardest thing is making your offer stand out. Most of them probably pay no attention to JV offers via email. The easiest way to do it nowadays is through a service such as JVAlert. Many of the "big hitters" are members of these types of services and regularly pick and choose the JV offers they wish to accept.

Hello to all of you hard working future success out in 'Netland.
Now I know what you are thinking about the title to this article.
BUT, no it is NOT about that...LOL
What this article IS about though is, your "opt-in" list.
Now if you have been doing even the smallest amount of marketing Online then you know in order for you to ever earn any real profits from your Internet endeavors you WILL need your own "opt-in" list of people who have given you permission to contact them via a free report, ezine, etc.
Okay, here in lies one of the BIGGEST misconceptions in Internet marketing...
"The bigger your list, the more profits you make".
This is wrong. Yep. Just plain wrong.
To prove my point let's do an example shall we?
Say you have taken your time and built yourself an "opt-in" list of only 1500 subscribers.
These 1500 subscribers have signed up to receive your email about your product, or service whether it be by a newsletter or e-course.
You have taken your time and provided these 1500 readers with valuable, insightful, content and have gained their trust.
Over time these 1500 people have read with interest every email you sent and now know you and what you stand for.
You then write up a "review" of a product that you yourself have used, purchased and put to the test.
You send the email to your small list of 1500 and BAM you actually get a few orders due to your "review".
Do you know why these 1500 people just made you a profit?
Well, we know it was NOT due to the fact that you had over 50,000 people on your list at the time.
The reason is this...TRUST!
Yep. Simple, plain, TRUST!
This is the most powerful marketing technique you will ever learn and use when marketing Online.
Just because you have a "opt-in" list of 50,000 people does NOT mean they actually care about you.
I will take a small, responsive, trusting list of 1500 subscribers any day of week :)
So remember, it is NOT the size that matters, it is how you use it :)

Ezine Joint Venture Marketing Secrets!

1) Trade Your Product For An E-zine Ad
You could ask an e-zine publisher to run your ad in exchange for getting your product at no cost. The product should be something that would interest them.
2) Write An E-zine Testimonial For An E-zine Ad
Write a testimonial for an e-zine. Tell the e-zine publishers they have permission to run it in their e-zine. You could write about how much you enjoy it and how the e-zine has improved your life. Just include your signature file (ad) at the end of the testimonial. You should first ask the e-zine publishers if they would publish your testimonial in their e-zine if you take the time to write it.
3) Commission For Publishing Your Articles
You could tell e-zine publishers or web site owners they can make money publishing your articles. They would just have to join your affiliate program and place their affiliate link in your resource box (ad).
4) Original Content For An Ongoing E-zine Ad
You could offer an e-zine publisher ongoing, original content in exchange for an ongoing e-zine ad. You could just set up a deal to write a regularly scheduled column. Plus, if you don't want the hassle of starting your own e-zine, this is a good way to acquire a huge subscriber base for your offer all at once.
