The Best Traffic Generation Tool Is Free
by Diane Hughes
Although search engines have been around since the beginning of the Web, many businesses (large and small) are just now waking up to the gigantic benefit search engines provide. What other medium gives you - at absolutely no cost whatsoever - a way to drive unlimited traffic to your site? None. That’s why, once people understand search engine optimization (SEO), they get hooked!
I want to give you some basics to follow in order to help get your site ranked at the top of popular search engines like Yahoo! and Google. I also want to provide you with some exceptional resources so you can further your SEO education in the future.
What Is Search Engine Optimization?
SEO is the process of creating a Web site that fosters the design, coding, copy, and link-building elements search engines most like to see. Through the process of SEO, you can develop a site (or alter an existing site) so that the engines will move you up to the top of the search results. That means people who are actually looking to find what you have to sell will click to your site before your competition’s.
How Does SEO Work?
There are three fundamental parts to the SEO equation: coding, copywriting, and link popularity.
Coding is the manipulation of your HTML code so that it is clean, uncluttered, positioned correctly, and easily accessible to the search engine spiders and bots. You want to be sure the most important information to the spiders is located up top where they can quickly and easily find it. You also want to ensure that java scripts and other such coding are moved out of the spiders’ way.
Copywriting relates to the text on your site. Search engine copywriting pertains to being able to write in such a way that you include your primary keyphrases in strategic places so that you get the most "points" from the engines.
Link popularity deals with how many sites have links that point back to your site (and vice versa). The theory is, that if others think highly enough of your site to link to it, your site must be of good quality.
When you have a good combination of all three primary elements, you stand a much better chance of ranking high with the engines.
Doesn’t SEO Depend On META Tags?
It used to... a long, LONG time ago. When the ‘Net was first founded, just about all you had to do to get high rankings was to shove a bunch of keyphrases into your keyword tag. Now, however, the engines are smarter. They pay no attention to the keyword tags and very little attention to the description tag. The only tag that carries much weight anymore is the title tag. It is extremely important.
Isn’t SEO Copywriting Just Using Keyphrases As Many Times As You Can?
No! Not only does that put you at risk of spamming the search engines, it makes your copy sound horrible to your human site visitors. What good are high search engine rankings if your copy doesn’t convert those visitors into paying customers?
You need to find creative and strategic places to use keyphrases so that you maintain the balance between natural language and keyphrase use.

The french market is so new for ebusiness entrepreneurs than we can't find french online services, french affiliate products (I've found only 2 for now), french thirt partie payment services, french emarketing ebooks, etc... When I search for home business in french I've find MLM, paid to read emails, but no great ebusinesses like in the english market.
We need a A to Z ecourse on that subject.... something like the big Corey's course or others great courses like that. But we don't have.
:-) NOW MY QUESTION IS.......
Do I have to make my own ebusiness courses and ebooks in french with the knowledge learned from all that great english products I've read?
Thank you so much to help us....

Hi Sylvie,
Sounds like you might have a great idea. Maybe it's something you should look into! If you feel there would be enough demand for a great eBook or course written in French, why not start preparing to do one? You might find that you'll have little competition and it might prove to be very profitable for you...
Hope this helps!

The Single Most Powerful Small Business Marketing Tool On The Planet
by John Jantsch
Let me get right to the point. The single most powerful small business marketing tool on the planet is a marketing plan. Now before you roll your eyes and run for the hills let me clear a few things up.
When I talk about a marketing plan I am not referring to those academic exercises found in college marketing books, or the templated mumbo jumbo found in business planning software. I will not be asking you to determine your share of the market today. Give me a break, share of the market, most small business owners just need to figure out to get ten more customers.
A marketing plan is a simple (in many cases one page) document that specifically answers who you are, what you do, who needs it, how you plan to grab them by the throat, when you plan to do it and how you plan to pay for it…in a way that everyone in your organization, network, and client base can clearly understand.
Now that was a mouthful so let me back up a moment. Small business owners are doers, not planners. While doing is better than, say, mildewing, without direction, it leads to “marketing idea of the week” syndrome and stunts any chance a small business has for real growth.
Take one day, follow these 7 simple steps to creating the most powerful small business marketing tool on the planet, and your life will become a much simpler affair. Flowers will grow where weeds had previously resided, your children will say thank you at the top of their lungs, and your favorite baseball team will finally make that run for the pennant.
Well, maybe none of that will happen but you won’t be as irritated when it doesn’t.
Step 1: Narrow your market focus
Look at whom you are currently doing most of your business with. Figure out why they do business with you and what it is about them that is unique. Write one paragraph that describes what they look like and what they want out of life. Take a good hard look at the rest of your clients and customers and decide if they fit that description of your best client. Start saying no when the phone rings and it’s not your target market calling.
Step 2: Position your business
Figure out what it is that you do best, figure out what your target market longs for and tell the world that you do that like no one else ever thought of. Maybe it’s serving a niche, maybe it’s a form of service, maybe it’s a way you package your products. Here’s a hint: you probably don’t know what it is. Call up 3 or 4 of your clients and ask them why they buy from you.
Step 3: Core messages
Create several very compelling benefits of doing business with your firm and find ways to work them into everything you say and do. Just remember it’s not a benefit unless your clients think it is. Your clients don’t buy what you sell…they buy what they get from what you sell.
Step 4: Marketing materials
Recreate all of your marketing materials, including your website, so that they speak only of your core messages and your target market.
Step 5: Never cold call
Make sure that all of your advertising, including yellow pages, is geared to creating prospects and not customers. You must find ways to educate before you sell. Your target market needs to learn how you provide value in a way the will make them want to pay a premium for your services or products. You simply can’t do this in a 3 x 4 ad. Your ad needs to get them ask for more information…then you can proceed to selling.
Step 6: Expect referrals
You must create a referral marketing engine that systematically turns clients and referral networks into 24 hour marketing powerhouse. The first step in the system is to make providing referrals a condition of doing business with your firm.
Step 7: Live by a calendar
After you complete steps 1-6, determine what you need to do to put them into action and then schedule them on a calendar. Whatever it is that you need to pick a month and pledge to get it done that month. The mistake most small business owners make is to get overwhelmed when they realize how much they really need to.
If you can begin to schedule one or two activities each month you will look up at the end of six months and find that you have a fully developed referral system, new website, and a lead generation system. Slow and steady wins the race tortoise.
So what will have completed when by the time you read the next issue of this publication?

Mesmerizing Salesletter Secrets
by Larry Dotson
1) Turn your ad into an article. It could be a story, or how-to article. This will lead readers into your ad without them knowing it's an ad. They'll already be interested when they get to your sales pitch. For example, you could start your ad, "Once upon a time" or "Free Report! How to....".
2) Make sure you show your readers that they are getting a bargain. Tell them the usual price you sell your product for is $99. Then tell them if they order today, they can buy it for $69.95. You could also show them the difference they would be saving - $29.05.
3) Direct your ad headline to your target audience. Your readers will feel important and enjoy belonging to a select group of people who buy your product. For example, "Attention! Accountants, Discover A New Way To Increase Your Client Base!" Another example, "Warning! E-book Publishers..."

A French teacher was explaining to her class that in French, unlike English, nouns are designated as either masculine or feminine.
"House" is feminine -- "la maison."
"Pencil" is masculine -- "le crayon."
A student asked, "What gender is 'computer?'" Instead of giving the answer, the teacher split the class into two groups -- male and female and asked them to decide for themselves whether "computer" should be a masculine or a feminine noun.
Each group was asked to give four reasons for their recommendation.
The women's group concluded that computers should be masculine ("le computer"), because:
1) In order to do anything with them, you have to turn them on
2) They have a lot of data but still can't think for themselves
3) They are supposed to help you solve problems, but half the time they ARE the problem
4) As soon as you commit to one, you realize that if you had waited a little longer, you could have gotten a better model
The men's group decided that "computer" should definitely be of the feminine gender ("la computer"), because:
1) No one but their creator understands their internal logic
2) The native language they use to communicate with other computers is incomprehensible to everyone else
3) Even the smallest mistakes are stored in long term memory for possible later retrieval
4) As soon as you make a commitment to one, you find yourself spending half your paycheck on accessories for it
