Good Day to you and I hope your day is going well so far! :)
Welcome to all our new subscribers this week and I hope you grow to love us as so many have... we couldn't do this without you!
=======** ON A PERSONAL NOTE **=======
Whew -- little did I know that after that blog post last week, things would get MUCH worse... but I wouldn't feel justified in complaining. I won't go into deep details or sympathies -- I'm sure you've been inundated with all this information and sorrow but I wanted you to know my thoughts and prayers go out to all of you who have been affected by the wrath of Katrina. I had lived in Louisiana as a kid (military brat)... I pray for all of you... all of you that were in "her" path.
Living in Arkansas, I feel so close but not close enough to help you physically. I have donated to the Red Cross and urge all of you who can, to do the same... every little bit helps.

Building Consumer Confidence Builds Sales
by Diane Hughes
Many small online business owners have yet to understand the sheer power that comes from building consumer confidence. They struggle with sales month after month, but still, when someone tells them their site design needs help, they get offended. "I spent a lot of time building my own site!" is the reply.
Here’s my reply... "So what?"
It doesn’t matter who designed your Web site. If it isn’t cutting it, then it’s time to move on.
On the Web, we have about seven seconds to accomplish ALL of the following:
1) Relay the message "Rest Easy" instead of "Get Out of Here NOW!"
2) Build consumer confidence through words and images.
3) Gain the attention of the visitor.
4) Make a lasting impression.
That’s a lot to ask from a site. But professional Web designers have the skills and talent to deliver.
How do you know if your site design is the cause of your suffering? How do you know if your visitors are rolling their eyes instead of smiling? Ask!
ACTION STEP 1
Ask questions
Is the quality of your Web site design as good or better than your competition? Visit your competitors’ sites and see for yourself. If they are portraying a more confident image than you, chances are good that you need a redesign.
What do your visitors think? Conduct a survey and find out. You can use a simple and free tool found at http://www.surveymonkey.com to set up a survey. Post a link to the survey on your home page so your visitors can offer their opinions.
ACTION STEP 2
Be honest with yourself
Whether you designed your own site or your cousin’s 16-year-old nephew did it, you have to dump your pride and focus on your site design from a business prospective.
Don’t shrug off what others tell you about your site design. Taking offense will only hinder your business growth and cause you to maintain an image that discourages consumer confidence in you and your business.
When you get honest feedback about your site design, be honest with yourself and look at the information logically instead of emotionally.
ACTION STEP 3
Take action!
If you find that you do need a site redesign, don’t pout. Take action! Start reviewing Web site designers' sites. Contact a few designers and ask for quotes on your project.
If you have the skills to follow someone else’s work, you can save money by having the designer create one page. You can then set up the remainder of the site yourself.
Ignoring the fact that your site design is causing a decrease in sales is simply not smart business. Taking measures now to change your online image is the first step to impressing your visitors and boosting your cash flow in the years to come.

10 Mind Blowing Ways To Increase Your Sales
1. Show your prospects how much enthusiasm you have for your product and business. If you're convincing enough, they will be enthusiastic too.
2. End your sales letter or ad copy with a strong closing. It could be a free bonus, a discount price, a benefit reminder, an ordering deadline, etc.
3. Please your complaining customers. You can refund their money, give them a discount, give them a free gift, solve the problem quickly, etc.
4. Make your customers get excited about your business and they will tell their friends. Give them a free vacation certificate, a coupon, etc.
5. Give your prospects extra confidence so they will order. Use endorsements, testimonials, a strong guarantee or warranty, etc.
6. Build your opt-in list by allowing your visitors to sign up for a free e-zine, ebooks, software, contests, sweepstakes, etc.
7. Give your prospects or customers a breath of fresh air. Don't be afraid to design your web site and ad copies different from everyone else.
8. Allow your customers to get part of your total offer right after they order. If you have to ship the item, make one of your bonuses available online.
9. Write and submit articles to e-zine publishers or webmasters. If you want it to be published, it should be like an article and not like an ad.
10. Show your prospects that you are an expert, because authority can persuade people to buy. You could publish an article, write an ebook, etc.

Still Mourning That Business Failure
by Arun Pal Singh
No one wants to fail. But when in business you ought to make decisions. While they are aimed at bringing out success your decisions may also prove to be a failure. Yes! Failure is detrimental to the confidence. That is why everybody dreads it. But we need to face it instead of mourning.
It is quite natural to be disappointed when we fail. After all we are human beings and disappointment over our failures is a normal reaction. Everybody sulks. But the problem starts when you loose courage to act further after you fail.
When you start identifying yourself with your failure, you loose all the confidence in yourself and think that you are a looser. More you think so more you grieve. More you grieve more unconfident you feel. And the vicious cycle continues.
Stop this cycle before you get entrapped.
It is important to realize that a failure does not mean that you have failed. Your idea or decision might have let you down but that does not imply that you cannot succeed. If you have failed you need to be congratulated. You are much better than many others who dream but are not courageous enough to act. Moreover if you have failed you are wiser than when you started.
If you realize this you have overcome your disappointment and you have separated yourself from your failure.
Business is built on dreams. For dreams to realize action needs to be taken. Business does not follow a fixed protocol or pattern. Everybody has his own way of realizing his dreams. Everybody goes through different path to achieve the success.
Everybody has his share of unique failures depending upon his talents and goals. But everybody does fail before he succeeds.
Child must fall before he learns to walk upright.
Sparrow must fall before she learns to fly unhindered.
Failures are necessary for us to succeed.
If we observe and note this law governs everything in nature.
Failure precedes the success. Always!
Guide yourself towards success when you are struck by a failure. Study in detail the conditions that led to failure. There could be many a reasons-inadequate training, insufficient research, poor planning and many other similar reasons.
We often teach ourselves to learn from other people’s mistakes. We can delve into countless number of books and stories and prepare ourselves mentally. These are important as to make a generalized perception. But our own failures are most important as they have been resulted directly by our action.
The lessons learnt from our own mistakes are deeply engraved in the mind unlike any other we teach ourselves with. This is what is called experience.
Failure is a compass that guides us towards making right decisions.
Edison failed thousand times before he brought out the light to the world. When enquired what kept him going he replied ‘each time I failed I learnt how not to make a light bulb.
Amazing answer but it tells everything.
When you start learning from your mistakes you are on your path to success.
